Becca earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Haverford College in Haverford, PA before moving to Alta, UT in 1992. After developing a love affair with powder skiing and the outdoor recreation that the intermountain west offers year around, she returned to academics at the University of Utah to study Speech-Language Pathology. Upon completion of the Master's program at the U of U in 2005, Becca moved to Seattle and worked as a staff SLP at Children's Therapy Center and South King Early Intervention Program, as well as a contracted SLP with Pacific Speech and Language. In 2008, Becca returned to Salt Lake City and joined the multi-disciplinary team at Jordan Child Development Center's Early Intervention Program. Fueled by a passion for supporting children and families in their communication journeys and a vision of a holistic, dynamic, and family centered approach to teaching speech and language, Becca founded Move Play Talk! in December of 2011. Becca is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Utah, and holds a current State of Utah Professional Educator License.
